2. The Homeless Dog Training Donation Program

Donate Training to a Shelter Dog -  Group Classes -  Private Lessons - Tax Deductible  - Saves a Life

Training and behavior problems are amongst the top reasons why millions of dogs are surrendered to animal shelters each year. Every year millions of dogs are surrendered to animal shelters due to behavioral problems and poor training.

"He's not housebroken.  He jumps on the kids. He bites at our hands and clothes. She barks too much. She pulls on the leash. She chews the furniture."

These are all too common reasons why people feel they need to give up their dog.

All of these issues could have been prevented or remedied with the proper training or behavior modification. Now the dog is in the shelter and hoping for a new home. Even if the dog does find some family willing to take him, he will still have the same training or behavioral problem that brought him to the shelter in the first place. This severely reduces his chances of maintaining his new home. This is why Happy-Dog has developed the Homeless Dog Training Donation Program.

Training and behavior problems are amongst the top reasons why millions of dogs are surrendered to animal shelters each year.

Here's how it works:

  • You purchase a Happy Dog Training Donation Certificate on behalf of a shelter dog

  • Happy Dog Training sends your training certificate to a participating shelter

  • The shelter then sends you a tax deductible contribution receipt for the value of the training donation.

  • The shelter can then use the training certificate at their discretion. It may be used to work with an animal on site or it may be given away with a dog to make him more adoptable.
